Keeping Curly Hair Soft and Nourished

If you have wavy or curly hair, we can relate. Finding the right products are hard, especially when it comes to styling. Some leave our hair crispy, wet-looking, sticky. I've lost track of how many hair products I've used in my lifetime. If this sounds like you, keep reading.

Be Kind To One Another

I'm downstairs at my condo's recreation room where I get online at night to blog... but I wanted to share a message with all of you.

Excuse my tired appearance. I've had my makeup on for 11 hours with no touch ups. Also, this video was recorded with my laptop. Hence the crappy quality + lagging.

Video: Night Time Regimen

Hi everyone!

So this was supposed to be a "short" video on how I remove my makeup at night. This is proof I am not a YouTube person but I do these things for you. I still need to learn some editing skill to shorten parts of my video. I already learned how to crop the beginning and end, but I have no idea how to trim parts in between. And I don't have a Mac computer :) Just in case.

Anyway! Here is the video. I remove my makeup with the Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water, then I show you how I clean my face using the REN No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm, and how I moisturize at night.

I hope you like it!

How To Slim Down Your Face

You know how I feel about recording myself... but here is a video showing you how to do one of my favorite steps in makeup: highlighting and contouring!

It's natural-looking enough for the day-time. For a night out or special event, I also contour my nose.

Note: you don't have to use cream products like I did. You can use any darker/lighter product that you have. For instance: use a dark foundation to contour and a lighter one to highlight, or a dark concealer to contour and a very light concealer to highlight.

An Important Mention

Hi everyone!

Quick post today just to show you a video on someone who has been such an inspiration lately.

I've never taken any makeup lessons/courses. I've simply always adored makeup and have learned everything that I know thanks to: Wayne Goss, Lisa Eldridge, Ruth Crilly, the Pixiwoo sisters, Emily Noel and Jaclyn Hill.

I found Jaclyn randomly on YouTube. I fell in love with her videos because she takes the time to explain you every single step she does in her makeup routine, her videos have great quality (including very close zooms when she does her eyemakeup) and I think she's just the queen on blending. She has made me really appreciate neautrals - which I think it's already a given if you follow me on Instagram

I want you to learn what I've learnt, which is why I'm sharing this with you today. If you have a particular adoration for someone on YouTube, please let me know!

Thanks so much for your support. I can't come up with the right words, but I'm genuinely very thankful, flattered and happy. I never thought I'd ever receive the positive feedback I've received from all of you.

Embrace Good Skin Days (Video)

Hey beauties!

I recorded a short video giving some tips on how you can pull off a radiant look with no foundation. Make the best of your "good skin" days!

Quick and Simple Day Look: Tutorial

Due to the positive feedback I received on Instagram after posting a picture for Face of the Day, I decided to share it with you guys on a video!

@makeupbypatricia

I only got about four hours of sleep, so I looked ridiculously tired when I woke up. I also had very little time to get ready.

This is a great look for when you're in a hurry and you want to look bright. Something as simple as a BB cream can immediately make you look a whole lot better by evening the skin tone and giving it a nice-dewy look.

I also recommend using a good eye serum/cream first thing after you wash your face and before you do your makeup. It really makes a difference. I have an excellent one I'm going to review soon

I recorded the video when I got back after six hours, and my makeup still looked pretty good considering the fact that I have combination skin and the city where I live in is very hot and humid

I "touched-up" half of my face to show you exactly what I did.
PS: And I terribly messed up my pretty liner.

I know I have to work on better timing, and cropping down the videos. Remember, I'm new!

Quick Face of the Day + YouTube Video

Welcome back my lovely followers/readers!

I am very excited because I have finally lost my YouTube fear/shyness and not only do I have a video for you right now, but there is another one loading on the way :) be patient with the crappy internet service we have in Venezuela...

Please feel free to subscribe on YouTube. I have no experience/knowledge in video editing whatsoever, so please bear that in mind when you watch my first videos (I hope to get better with time).

I barely had time to get ready, so this video down below is super quick, just mentioning the products that I used.

Thank you so much for watching. It means a lot to me.

My Top 4 YouTube Beauty Gurus

The beauty industry has become a lot more interactive thanks to all the wonderful technological advances. You no longer have to be sitting in a classroom or read a book to learn all the secrets from professional make-up artists.

The following people are extremely hard workers who are modest while successful. All four are British - randomly, I swear! For some reason, I've fallen in love with these people thanks to their genuine opinions, quirkiness, sense of humor and immense talent and creativity. I have truly learned a lot from each and one of them.

Lets check 'em out!
