Air Yoga

I wanted to share with you some pics my trainer took from yesterday's class. 

Air Yoga is practiced with the help of a swing. It's extremely challenging, especially for beginners like me because our bodies are not used to doing yoga poses above the ground. Having our feet or hands on the floor always brings a sense of safety to our minds, so when we're in the air, fears and doubts will try to disturb our equilibrium.

The fact that all of the blood flow goes to the head when you're constantly upside down may make you feel a little dizzy, but this usually happens during the first sessions, until your body becomes accustomed.

The results are strongly linked to our emotions, making people feel much more confident about themselves and the power of the body once you let go of fears in the mind. And it is fun!
